2) FLYdude flew an F-15C, while I flew a MiG-25 Foxbat.
3) About 30 minutes. I am not quite sure, need to start
timing these things.
4) Well, FLYdude tried his best to shoot me down,
and I tried my best to not let him do it, in BVR combat.
5) The Eagle carried 6 AIM-7s and 2 AIM-9s, while the
MiG carried a mix of R-40 missiles. Since FLYdude kept
the ECM engaged, I had no chance to get a radar lock.
Instead I took the MiG to Mach 2.9 at 75,000 feet, and
ran away. He fired a Sparrow, but after a righthand turn
away from FLYdude, I was out of range. I kept up the
speed around Mach 2.8-3, and he could not intercept
me. After I ran for about 280nm, I turned around, and
noticed his ECM strobe on the radar scope. He had
turned around and was RTB due to low fuel status. I
caught up with him (initial separation well over 100nm),
and with the radar in Quiet mode, fired 2 R-40 IR missiles
to shoot him down. That is how the engagement ended.
